Version history

Expanded the default taxonomy beyond Music with Community, Resources, and Services buckets; added a weekly highlights section to the homepage driven by the newest resources from the last 7 days; and added FutureTools daily import / weekly highlights scripts so the site can keep growing as a living resource hub.

The browse page header now shows the total approved resource count when no pricing filter is active — "N approved resources in the directory." — replacing the previous generic "Every approved resource in the directory." The filtered view already showed counts.

Description fields on the submit form and moderator edit form now show a format tip nudging toward the structured sectioned format (Intended Purpose / Who It's For / Why It's Necessary) for more readable listing cards.

Search results now echo the active pricing filter in the page header. Filtered searches show the selected tier, such as Free resources, and include a clear-filter link that preserves the search query and active sort.

Extended the shared _directory-controls.ejs partial to also cover the search page (/search). The search page pagination now uses the shared partial, completing the sort/pagination URL-builder deduplication started in v0.7.74. The partial now supports optional sortGuard and searchUrl overrides for flexible reuse.

Extracted shared sort-pill and pagination URL builders into a single _directory-controls.ejs partial used by browse, category, subcategory, and tag pages. Eliminates ~90 lines of duplicated inline URL-building logic.

Pricing filter chips now preserve the current sort on browse, search, category, subcategory, and tag result pages. Visitors can switch pricing filters without losing A-Z, oldest, or surprise-me sorting.

Added ItemList JSON-LD structured data to the search results page (/search), completing ItemList coverage across all directory listing pages. Search engines now see ordered listing positions alongside the existing SearchResultsPage schema.

Added ItemList JSON-LD structured data to category, subcategory, and tag taxonomy pages. Each taxonomy listing page now signals to search engines which approved resources appear on that page, with ordered positions, complementing the existing WebSite/SearchAction and per-page BreadcrumbList/WebPage schemas.

Hardened resource detail and search result JSON-LD so listing names, category labels, descriptions, and search queries are serialized safely as JSON. Structured data now stays valid when content contains quotes, angle brackets, or other punctuation.

Added og:image, og:image:alt, and twitter:image meta tags to every page via the global header, pointing to the site logo. Social-link previews for the directory and all its pages will now show a proper preview image instead of a blank or generic card.

Added SearchResultsPage JSON-LD structured data to the search results view (/search). Includes the search query, result count, and a BreadcrumbList with the full query-string URL so search engines correctly identify and index search result pages separately from generic web pages.

Added JSON-LD structured data to all pages — WebSite schema with SearchAction in the global header, and BreadcrumbList + WebPage schema on resource detail pages. Helps search engines understand the directory structure and enables richer search result previews.

Added <link rel="canonical"> and per-page og:url meta tags to every rendered page. Previously og:url was hardcoded to the root for all pages, meaning social-link previews for listing and taxonomy pages showed the wrong URL. Canonical URLs strip query strings so pagination and filter parameters don't dilute link equity.

Related resource cards on listing detail pages now show the resource pricing badge (Free, Ad-supported, or Premium), matching the main directory listing cards and helping visitors choose the next click faster.
